Some may know there had been some problems with strap lugs coming off

on the Panasonic G1 and GH1.  I don't know if it's particular to the

G2, 3 or GH2, I suspect not.  Anyway, the repair costs of this (for

out of warranty cameras) have been kept modest, no doubt because the

original attachment was flawed.

Anyway, in Canada, the cost is about $25.00 per lug to have them

replaced which is cheap, no big labour charge.  If anyone had this

happen to their camera post-warranty, and the camera sustained any

damage because it fell when the lug gave way, they might want to take

it up with Panasonic since the repair of the lugs entails a different

attachment method because the original one was flawed.
