The Message store folder when viewed in Windows Explorer is located at:

C:\Users\<windows logon profile name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail

One can also find the path to their message store folder in WLM's options

Alt F O M  (or Windows Live Mail button/Options/Mail)

- click Advanced, Maintenance, Store Folder

- When viewed in Windows Explorer each type of account (mail or news) will have set of subfolders (e.g. for mail - Inbox, Sent, 

Drafts etc.) with messages stored as individual files (mail - *.eml, news - *.nws)

Note: Messages use a WLM generated numerical name.

e.g.

  - Mail --> 5C673CD6-00000005.eml

  - News --> 0DA14EF1-0000C7F0.nws

To see the actual subject when viewing in Windows Explorer enable the Subject or Title column
