Linux API to inform of process create/destroy?
Hello
Is there an API that will inform a program when a specific process (by name
or some other identifier) is created or destroyed in the same sense as the
inotify API does for file systems? I realise I could just keep scanning /proc
but thats very inefficient and if the process is transitory it might be
missed anyway.
