iOS doing just fine
August 3, 2011
Google's Android platform has seen growth that exceeds even the wildest
of expectations. Android now holds 48 percent of global market share,
while the iPhone has reached second place with 19 percent.
Android exploded from 33.3 percent share in Q4 of last year to 48
percent in Q2. That's 44 percent growth in just six months. This exceeds
the expectations of those who ??? on the high end ??? predicted that Android
would hit 50 percent around 2015. Several estimates, including a recent
one at IDC, also peg iOS as being a declining system.
Android has seen a 379 percent increase in sales when compared to just
one year ago.

But, hey, iOS is second with less than half Android's share. Better than
nothing, don't you think?
Now, with Samsung dumping Apple and Apple having to go for TSMC, this
might change. On 40 nm chips people close to the foundry say "that the
TSMC 40nm process is something akin to a screen door on a submarine when
it comes to electrons".

With the A6, they'll have to produce... what is it, 28 nm? Man, this
looks like fun!
Android 4, called ice cream sandwich, will come out with the new Nexus
Prime / Samsung Galaxy 3 in a month. These new model will offer a larger
screen, better definition (720p), a more potent processor, 4G, Flash,
etc. The works!
But, don't worry Apple can count on its Morons and should still have a
10% market share in a year. Of course, shares will climb to at least
$1,000. So don't short them, keep on hangin' on!
