Yeah, I got that too. It seems to have been part of the initial
install - which had problems because most all of my sync settings were
gone. But iteratively, I got iCloud and iTunes working so that that
(and other) weirdness is gone. My iTunes seems to now behave the
same whether my iPad is plugged in here, or into its charging stand
upstairs.
