ubuntu hangs at boot
Hello,
I am working mainly with ubuntu 10.04 64bits, sometimes with windows XP
and I keep ubuntu 10.04 32bits as a "spare wheel"
Ubuntu 64bits hangs at boot and I have the following message when I
start in safe mode:
Kernel panic...the program hangs.
I start with acronis boot manager, I select the os, get the grub loader
window and I get the mauve window with ubuntu in white , the caps lock
and scroll lock begin blinking and that's all. The white dots under
ubuntu do not get red.
I searched on the web, tried to modify grub to propose 2 different
kernels via ubuntu 32bits but with no results.
I also tried the boot repair cd...
I made a backup of the main folders (home, etc, opt...)
I think of reinstalling but before I ask whether someone can help me !
Thank you for possible tips.
